A Change of Heart
My view on Mullets has changed drastically. After seeing how gorgeous Kris looks with his mullet, I have come to the conclusion that mullets can look sexy. The way he styles that hot maine is breathtaking and leaves me joyfully elated each time it passes me in the hallway. It’s majestic flow in the wind makes my knees tremble. The lesson I learned from all of this is to never judge a book by it’s cover and to give things a chance. After giving the mullet a chance, I am forever drawn to it. Kris has changed my life forever, and I now want to cut my hair into a mullet, So maybe, just maybe, someone will feel the same way I now do.

Nanette is here
On monday at 11:30pm at night, my cousin Nanette arrived in Toronto from AUSTRALIA! I got the opportunity 2 years ago to meet her when she came to Canada with her mom Ingrid for a visit and absolutely fell in love with them both! I am so excited that she will be staying with my aunt carol for over 5 months to go to the University of Waterloo. She was scared of the weather at first because her grandma warned her “watch out for the ice while you’re walking around, several people each year die from falling.” LOL. And, when I asked her about the NHL, she had such a puzzled look on her face. Hopefully she will learn a lot more about Canada and hopefully I learn more about Australia.

“YES WE DID”
Supporters of Barrack Obama (the first African-American president of America) in Chicago last night chanted “YES WE DID” when he was finally elected the new president of America. His landslide win made me think of how the American people not only voted but protested to get their country back. He even won Virginia, a state that hasn’t voted democratic since 1964. They’ve had enough. “Change we need” and change they will get: “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America — I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you — we as a people will get there,” said Obama last night in Chicago in front of the 240 000 some people crowd. Last night actually made me proud to be America’s hat.
Oh, and what happened to Bush campaigning for the final week of the election?
Thoughts on Obama becoming president?

USA & CANADIAN Politics
I find it interesting how people focus so much on the USA and their politics (not saying that its a bad thing since they have a huge effect on canada) and know so little about our own politics here in Canada. There was a segment on CTV that asked people on the streets what they were doing that night (it was the night of the vice presidential debate and there was also a segment on the canadian election..which I have NO CLUE about) and almost everyone said they were tuning into the v.p debate (and missing their favourite shows to watch it) and not one of them had a clue about the canadian election segment. Personally, I definitely am more knowlegable about the US and their politics and tune into the presidential debates/follow the news coverage of it. I wonder why that is…why people don’t seem to pay much attention to our own politics here in Canada. Thoughts?

Mullet
The mullet is an extremely outdated and disturbing haircut. One of my dearest friends is trying to gain acceptance in a society built on “good hair.” He does NOT have good hair! He makes me suffer by waving his nasty mullet in the air. For the past couple of weeks I have been plotting ways to try and trim the awful beast of a mullet. CUT YOUR MULLET!
